The summer color of the autumn blaze maple tree is a rich medium green, in the fall leaves are brilliant orange-red color in the fall.  They are known for their excellent speed of growth.  A hybrid between Red and Silver Maple it combines the drought tolerance of Silver Maple with the better branching habit of the Red Maple.

Deborah is a beautiful tree in spring and early summer when new leaves unfold, red tinted then purplish as they expand. In summer the tree becomes dark bronze-green.  Winter leaves are bronze-yellow.  The Deborah Norway Maple is excellent at insect and disease resistance such as to leaf hoppers. Unlike many other maples, mature trees do not tend to develop a shaggy bark.

Autumn Flame is one of the hardiest of Red Maples, is seedless, and is the first to color in the fall. It reliably produces a brilliant scarlet red color in the fall. Autumn Flame produces a very symmetrical rounded shape with smaller leaves. Greenish-yellow flowers appear in early spring (March).

'October Brilliance' is a fast growing, upright tree becoming densely rounded with age. Smooth, light gray bark becomes deeply ridged with age. Showy red flowers, reddish branches. An excellent lawn tree.

‘October Glory’ best noted for its exceptional fall color. It grows to 40-50’ tall with an oval rounded form. Attractive red flowers appear in spring before the foliage emerges. Glossy dark green leaves with red stems that retain good green color well into fall. Brilliant orange to red fall color sometimes hang on for a month, making the October Glory one of the best trees for fall color.

Attractive crimson orange-red fall color and is a rapid grower.  Often grow  40-60' tall with rounded/ oval crown. Leaves are shiny green on top and pale green beneath in the summer. Flowers are small and red mid spring. Red sunset maple trees have reddish stems and twigs, which provide a good deal of winter interest once the foliage has fallen.  Very drought resistant.  Will grow in full shade.

This cultivar of Norway Maple in cultivation grows to a height of 60 to 70 feet with a slightly smaller spread. The upright, rounded crown centered on a straight trunk fills with greenish-yellow flowers in the spring. Lateral branches grow upright while the tree is young which minimizes the pruning requirement. The tree is easily transplanted, grows quickly, and has brilliant yellow fall color.

​Profusion’ is a spreading, violet-red-flowered crabapple that typically matures to 15-30’ tall. It is noted for its rounded shape, violet-red flowers, red fruit and good disease resistance. Oval leaves (to 3” long) emerge reddish-purple when young, turn bronze green during the growing season and finally turn varying but sometime good amber fall color. Red buds open in spring to violet-red flowers (1.5” diameter). Flowers are followed by bright red crabapples (to 1/2” diameter) that mature in fall and may persist into winter.

This crabapple is a dense, rounded, tree which typically grows 15-20' tall with a similar spread. Pinkish-red buds open to slightly fragrant, deep pink-red flowers (1.5" diameter) in spring. Flowers are followed by masses of small, purplish-red crabapples (to 1/2" diameter) which mature in the fall. The fruits are persistent and attractive to birds. Ovate leaves emerge purplish in spring, mature to dark green with reddish-tinged leaf veins and petioles in summer, and turn orangish in autumn.  Adapts to a wide range of soils. Prune May to early June.

Crimson buds open in spring to deep pink flowers (1.5” diameter). Flowers are followed by bright red crabapples (to 3/8” diameter) that mature in fall and may persist into winter. Adapts to a wide range of soils.

Technically grown as a dwarf tree/multi-stemmed shrub. As a shrub, it typically grows 6-8' tall with no central leader and spreads to 15' wide. Pink buds open to a profuse, spring bloom of fragrant, white flowers (1" diameter). Profuse bloom often occurs only in alternate years. Flowers are followed by small, red crabapples (1/4" diameter) which mature in the fall. The pea-sized fruits are sweet-flavored like rose hips. Ovate, lobed, dark green leaves turn yellow in autumn. The yellow fall color contrasts well with the red fruit. Adapts to a wide range of soils. Prune May to early June.

​The Redbud tree is a relatively small, ornamental tree with spreading branches and a small short trunk that can be found in many gardens and streetscapes. One of the earliest flowering trees and is often used to add color to gardens. The pink or white blooms turn in to purple pink flowers appear all over the tree in early spring. The flowers are even produced on large trunks. Redbud has a yellow fall color and is shade tolerant.

Yellow fall color with attractive cinnamon-brown exfoliating bark. Lustrous, medium-green leaves. Clumps have three or more stems. The tree is noted for its ability to grow in wet soils, but it will grow in drier situations.

  Fairly fast growing. Slender, upturned branches create a dense, uniform crown with a conical outline. Very flexible wood making them and excellent choice for windy areas. Not bothered by most common tree pests.

A medium to rapidly growing tree. Grows to 60' to 70' with a 25-45' spread. Pyramidal through early maturity, its form turns more oval in older age. It is probably the favorite Oak because of its symmetry and the potential for quick shade with bronze to russet fall color. Summer leaves are green with 5-7 lobes. It thrives in full sun to partial sun. Adaptable to all soil types to include very poor soils. Reddish/brown acorns create an abundant fall harvest for a variety of wildlife.

Produces small acorns loved by deer and squirrels around 25 years of age. Generally a durable and long-lived tree.
